Riassunto

Con il termine innovazione si intende in generale l'introduzione di criteri e di sistemi operativi nuovi. Nel settore delle utilizzazioni forestali questo si traduce nello studio e nella realizzazione di nuove macchine o di sistemi di lavoro che forniscono maggiori produttività , aumentino la sicurezza degli operatori e/o riducano l'impatto sull'ambiente.

Innovation in utilization forest: some considerations on utilization and conversion in coppice

Abstract

At present, innovation on forest sector is not only technical or technological question, but a problem of divulging know-how. This paper describes methods that could be applied to forest utilization and conversion in coppice, and point out that many of these systems, although tested and efficient, are not used or used irrationally. This has various causes, such as coppice management and the lack of forest rides, but mainly, says the Author, a lack of training and information. To guarantee a dynamic development of forest utilization it is essential to improve the relations between "innovators" and "forest operators". Only when innovatory machines and methods are used and applied by those working in forest can talk of a real process of innovation. Otherwise it produces no positive results.
